Use | 2-octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) is an important intermediate of fine chemicals. Abstract:
octenyl succinic anhydride starch modifications are prepared by esterification of octenyl succinic anhydride with starch, usually in the form of starch esters (OSA-starch) or sodium starch. The starch modified with octenyl succinic anhydride is an excellent modified starch due to the property of having an OSA group. The synthesis and application of octenyl succinic anhydride modified starch in recent years were reviewed, and the development trend of this product was prospected.

Abstract:
octenyl succinic anhydride is synthesized by alkylation of 1-octene with maleic anhydride at high temperature and pressure. In view of the problem of many side reactions in the reaction process, the inhibitors were screened. The experimental results show that the acidic reagent boric acid can inhibit the occurrence of side reactions to some extent. The optimum reaction conditions were determined by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment: the amount of boric acid was 2%, the reaction temperature was 210 ℃, and the reaction time was 4H, the molar ratio of maleic anhydride to 1-octene was 1:2.5. Under these conditions, the product has good transparency, less by-products and high yield.

Abstract:
The invention discloses a method for preparing octenyl succinic anhydride modified starch by a dry process, which comprises the following steps: adding a certain amount of starch, a catalyst, octenyl succinic anhydride, the dispersant and alkali are mixed, and water is added to reach a water content of 1825wt%; The obtained mixed liquid is sent into an extrusion extruder for extrusion reaction; The extruded product is reacted at 4050 ℃ for 68H at constant temperature and humidity, and then dried; the dried product was washed with a volatile organic solvent, dried and pulverized to obtain the octenyl succinic anhydride-modified starch. The invention utilizes the high temperature, high pressure and strong shear force of the extrusion extruder, improves the mixing degree of the reaction reagent and the starch molecule, and increases the starch chemical active point of the inner migration, breakthrough dry production of modified starch there are chemical reagents and starch mixing is not uniform, product dissolution difference and other technical problems. The product has the advantages of higher grafting rate and reaction efficiency, low production cost, simple operation and good application value.
